Though St. John is the smallest of the three main U.S Virgin Islands, her majestic beauty is perhaps most cherished than anywhere else in the Caribbean.
St. John offers visitors pristine waters and beaches; amid modern luxuries. Initially settled by the Arawak and Carib Indians, the island has a history as rich as its landscape. It wasn’t until 1917 that the United States purchased St. John from the Danish West India and Guinea Company. In 1956, L. Rockefeller donated 5,000 acres of the gorgeous island to the National Park Service to cherish for generations. With the majority of the island designated as a national park, St. John has some of the world’s most pristine beaches, like the much-beloved Trunk Bay. This beach is renowned for its crystal sands and underwater nature trail, and it just one of the many incredible beaches on St. John.
Located along St. John’s famous North Shore sits Trunk Bay. This stunning white sand beach, surreal crystal clear aqua-blue waters and Underwater Snorkeling Trail make Trunk Bay arguably the crown jewel of the US Virgin Islands National Park. St. John has amazing beaches. Cinnamon Bay and Trunk Bay are amazing for snorkeling right off the beach, and right from the yacht. Maho Bay is perfect for snorkeling with sea turtles. Each of the best beaches are located within protected bays, so the water is refreshing and warm.
